The same Vdex as the website, in its own window, with your work kept on your computer. Try it free for 30 days (cloud storage and backup files come with the licence). Then it is 20 US dollars once plus any tax where you live (the price with tax), for up to 3 of your own devices, and the same licence lets you sign in on the website. No subscription.

Price

20 US dollars once, for up to 3 of your own devices. The checkout adds any tax due where you live. In the UK, the EU and Australia, where the law asks shops to show the whole price first, the price with tax is, in US dollars:

You are buying a licence to use Vdex, not ownership of a copy. It can be cancelled in the cases the terms describe.

Already bought, or given a code?

1. Download Vdex above and open it.
2. Go to Settings → General → About & Licence → Enter licence code.
3. Paste the whole code from your email (it starts with VDEX-) and press Activate. Vdex needs the internet for this, once.

One licence works on up to 3 of your devices: computers with the desktop app, and the Android and iPhone apps. To move it to a new one, use Release this computer (or Sign out in the Android or iPhone app) on the old one, or choose which device to move it from when you activate the new one. On the website, press Sign in and use the email address you bought with; Vdex emails you a 6-digit code.

Installing

• Windows: open Vdex-Setup.exe. While Vdex is new, Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" or say the app is not commonly downloaded: choose More info, check the publisher, then Run anyway. Vdex updates itself after that.
• Mac: open Vdex.dmg and drag Vdex into Applications. If macOS says it cannot check the app, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway.
• Linux: make the file runnable (chmod +x Vdex.AppImage, or tick "Allow executing file as program" in its properties) and open it. On Ubuntu 22.04 and later, install libfuse2 first (libfuse2t64 on 24.04).

Bringing your work from the website

The website and the desktop app keep their own copies. To move yours across, link the same cloud storage on both (☁ at the top of Vdex), or on the website use Settings → Storage, sync & backups → Export backup and then Import backup… in the desktop app. Both come with the licence.
